Every job here starts with the same four questions: which way does the window face, how close is the water, what does the 4pm light do, and who can see in. The answers decide the blade, the material and the tilt.

A west window over the lake catches the sun twice: once from the sky, once bounced off the surface. We angle the louvres to cut the bounce and keep the sky.
Heat on the glass
Big view windows carry a big heat load on summer afternoons. A closed louvre stack is honest insulation; a half-tilted one trades shade for outlook on your terms.
Salt on the breeze
East of the Pacific Highway, salt lands on everything. We spec aluminium and PVC where it matters, so finishes wipe down and hinges don't seize.

The core of what we do. Measured window by window, made to order, fitted so the panels sit true and the louvres move the way they should. Aluminium and PVC lead on the lakeside; basswood earns its keep in the brick suburbs. Blade widths from 63mm to 114mm, front-tilt or hidden tilt, hinged, bi-fold or sliding.

Shutter repairs & maintenance
On a saltwater lake, repairs aren't an afterthought, they're a season of the year. Stiff tilt rods, seized hinges, a louvre that's slipped out of true, paint hazed by salt: small jobs most installers won't come out for. We do. Often the fix is a morning's work, and we'll tell you honestly when it isn't.

This is the whole craft in one window: the lower the sun gets over the water, the more the glare band climbs into the room. Drag the louvres, change the blade width, and watch the trade between the glare you cut and the horizon you keep.

Because east of the highway the salt still lands, just slower. The 89mm blade is the all-rounder. Hidden tilt keeps the sight line clean on a view window.

The lake city isn't one market. What we spec on a Belmont waterfront is not what we spec in a Charlestown brick home, and pretending otherwise is how shutters end up wrong.
The lakeside east
Belmont, Swansea, Valentine, Marks Point: view windows, salt air, west light off the water. Aluminium and PVC lead, blades run wide, hidden tilt keeps the horizon clean. This is where the glare work lives.
The brick hills
Charlestown, Cardiff, Warners Bay's hill streets, Toronto's rises: established brick homes, standard window reveals, privacy from close neighbours. Basswood and front-tilt do their best work here, PVC in the wet rooms.

Measure, make, fit
- 1 · The measure
We come to you, free, at a time that suits. Every window gets measured properly, you see samples in your own light, and we talk through blade width, tilt and material for each room. You get a written quote; what you do with it is up to you.
- 2 · The making
Every panel is made to order for your openings. Made-to-measure takes as long as it takes to do properly; we'll give you a straight answer on timing at the measure, not a promise on a website.
- 3 · The fit
Panels hung square, louvres aligned, frames sealed, and the tilt handed over working the way it should. We don't leave until the view through them looks right.
Why no prices on the site? Because every window here is a different size, in a different light, a different distance from the salt. A number invented before the tape comes out isn't a price, it's bait. The measure and the quote are free; that's the honest version.
